"A word after a word after a word is power." - Margaret Atwood
Hello! This is Karen and Aleha, your Editors-in-Chief of Musings of a Feminist. This magazine is dedicated to providing you with a platform to share your story. It is a safe space for feminist students to freely express their thoughts and sentiments. It is a place for anyone to interact, reflect, and grow without the fear of being transgressed for their beliefs.
This magazine is founded on the value of diversity. As high school students, it was possible for us to establish an international basis for this magazine thanks to the connections we were able to build at the World Schools Debating Championships between members of different nations.
Furthermore, we encourage anonymous submissions just as much as those with author titles because we recognize that some may feel hesitant to spread their message for personal security reasons. We respect these boundaries and believe that everyone should be given an equal opportunity to convey their values regardless of arbitrary circumstances.
We request that all readers keep their comments polite and respectful on this platform in order to protect the integrity and purpose of the magazine. We envision a future wherein the victim and the perpetrator will be met with justice regardless of whether they be in the minority or the majority. And while we must fight an uphill battle to reach that measure of equality, our cause has never been stronger nor our collective spirit brighter than when we stand together as intellectual, empathetic feminists of the community.
We hope you have a meaningful time here. More power to all of us. Thank you.
